Parent Child Orientated Class (PCOC) is a wonderfully different kind of preschool. For the first hour of class, the parent and child work together at different stations around the room. The second hour sends the parents into another room for discussions and instruction while the children join the teachers for snack, storytime and large motor activities. I have had 2 children go through the 3 and 4 year old programs and my third child starts this fall. Both of my older kids were well prepared for kindergarten by this experience. They enjoyed themselves each week and I felt empowered by being such a part of my child's preschool experience.
