We had attended Amy's Academy since early 2010 - when we started, it was great - and many of the teachers there truly cared about the kids. Due to licensing issues, however, the state plans to close this facility by the end of August 2013. I doubt they can acecpt new kids at this point.

Amy's academy on 76th is decent, at best. I can't say they provide bad care but they could improve. They don't have great management. Don't set up appointments upon enrollment, just drop your child off with the paperwork and they will get to it. Some teachers follow protocol some don't. Sometimes older children will be found in toddler rooms "helping". New staff or temp staff seen often. They don't listen to your concerns.

I can't agree with the other parents regarding Amy's. For quite a while now, we've just 'put up it,' always assuming what we were getting at Amy's was just standard care - it s not. There have been quite a few incidents recently, leaving my child's room with lack of direction and a teacher who basically babysits the kids all day with no real organized activities, just a dirty room and doesn t talk much to the children. For a while teacher turnover wasn't bad, but it s getting to be pretty constant - my child can't even tell us who his teacher is day to day. Most teachers never identify themselves to us and when we ask about the day have little to nothing to say about what they did other then play (no art or other skill building projects). I know cost wise they are very competitive, but if you can do it, I'd recommend that you look somewhere else.

My son went to Amy's Academy in Franklin for 5 years. The staff were great! I especially have to give kudos to the 4 year old teacher. My son is now in Kindergarten and his current teacher raved about how prepared he was for school. I owe this all to Amy's and the 4 year old teacher! I highly recommend them especially for preschool.

I have been through so many day cares in the last year, and I'm pleased to have found Amy's Academy. The daycare facility is very clean, they have a very low turnover rate, they cook all their own food it is not supplied by the state, and most important my children enjoy attending this daycare. I have a 7 year old daughter and a 2 year old son. Thank you to the staff at Amy's Academy for providing a safe and fun enviornment for my children!
