I love the kind caring staff and the smiling faces of children who attend this daycare. What a wonderful place for these children to socialize in a small setting that is teaching them respect, manners, and responsibility. I will send my grandchild there when he is old enough to attend. I have seen this center this summer and can't wait!
The staff at Elk Center Daycare are very loving and caring ladies! They have even went out and purchased shoes for children who have came in with shoes that are too big and unsafe.Every time I go in I am greeted with a smile and my child never wants to leave! So thank you ladies for helping to raise my child!
The staff does not watch the children. My one and three-year-old come home with bruises every day. My three-year-old was allowed to climb on a chair, stick his arms in his shirt causing him to fall and bruise/scrape his face. I am an employee at another school and if I allowed one of my children under my supervision to do that I would be liable. I understand that the child is three and that he will get hurt but repeatedly at a daycare where people are supposed to watch him is ridiculous, I may as well leave him home alone, he'd probably get hurt less. I am also very displeased with the staff suggesting that I hit my child with a wooden spoon as a means of discipline at home. We will not be using this daycare anymore due to these recent occurrences.
I have one in the toddler room and one in the nursery and I couldnt be more pleased with the ladies that take care of my girls. They are kind, caring and always willing to work with me. The reason the center doesnt get 5 stars is because the center is closed when school is closed due to weather and they do have a lot of holidays, amking it rough on working parents. I also get a lot of wrong info sent home and have to check with the staff to see what is actaully going on.
