Whitney Elementary School

My daughter attended Whitney last year for kindergarten and it was an excellent experience. The teachers, principal and support staff are wonderful. My daughter received individualized lessons based on her abilities. The small size of the school allows the staff to get to know each student, and gives a family feel. I highly recommend Whitney!

Whitney School is an awesome place for children to start out their school career. You will not simply be joining a school, you will be joining a family of parents and staff who truly care about your child. The small size gives each child an opportunity to be known and appreciated as an individual. Because it is a Primary school it allows our children to stay children for a little bit longer. Parent involvement is amazing and the PTA is a warm and welcoming place to get involved.

Whitney is a K-3 school with a welcoming campus that provides a great starting point for young children starting their school careers. Because Whitney is a smaller school (170 students) it has a strong community feeling, that makes students and parents feel very welcome. The staff is well experience and open to as much parent involvement as possible. It has a strong, active PTA that promotes reading, art and writing. It is a great school.

This is a FABULOUS school! Often overlooked because it is K-3, this school shines because it remains only primary grades. Smaller is better in this case. Teachers know all students, the (assistant) principal knows all the students and can be seen daily at recess and in classrooms contributing to the learning environment. The PTA at this school is tremendous. The parents work together as a team and provide some wonderful, educational and fun programs. With a student poplulation of only 166 this little school held a walk-a-thon for Tsunami relief and raised more money than any school in its county. WoW! Teachers are willing to go the extra mile to make sure all students get what they need whether that be extra help or more challenging work. This is a diamond in the rough. Highly recommend this school (family).
