Teacher and Director turnover at Minnieland at Yarborough is way too high, and the quality of teachers are often not prepared for how to handle 3+ year old preschoolers. They are not prepared well for entering Kindergarten. The time spent on teaching basics like writing their name and learning the alphabet is not enough.
Minnieland#18 is great as a Day Care. They have a really good system in place in terms of changing diapers, and reinforcing potty training. Once the children have reached 4 years old I believe that they have outgrown Minnieland. My child was not being prepared for Kindergarten. The Pre-K teacher was teaching towards the students who still could not write their names and who did not know their alphabet. Minnieland's academic expectations were very low. Now that I have placed my child in a Private School that goes from Pre-school thru Grade 5, I can truly see the difference. Minnieland is a Day Care and is performing that function very well; just do not confuse Minnieland with a school. Also when we were there there were 4 directors in two years. When we left there were many unhappy parents for various reasons who were pulling their kids out.
