Kempsville Academy / Barefoot K

As a grandparent of three children who have attended Barefoot Kids, I highly recommend this early educational experience! Academics, character training, social awareness ~ the whole package.

I am a former parent and staff member and was constantly impressed by the environment at Barefoot. The administration is outstanding, the teachers are loving, and so the children are happy. My child loved it there, and I'd have to say, working there, under such supervision improved my own parenting.

Its a wonderful loving family at Barefoot. I am very grateful to have found them. We have been going for over 2 years and the staff is excellent. My children are ahead academically and they have a good balanced day to keep them engaged.

We have had our children at Barefoot Kids for several years. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Our youngest is only 4 and will start kindergarten this year as a 4 year old with his 5th birthday in mid-September. He is so prepared and is already reading as well as spelling words. The education gained from attending Barefoot Kids is second to none. With regard to being understaffed, I have never seen a situation which caused me to think they were understaffed in the many years we have attended there. We love Barefoot Kids and are so thankful for all they have done!

Barefoot Kids is fantastic! As a mother who has a degree in Elementary Education, the school has fully prepared my child in the social, academic and spiritual areas. The school has a low teacher and child turn-over rate, which was very important to my family. I would highly recommend Barefoot Kids to anyone!

My children have attended Barefoot Kids since they were 2 and I love it. We moved them to a school closer to our home and we missed Barefoot so much that we moved them back even though it is out of the way for us. This is a great school that will more than prepare your children for elementary school. They will be ahead of the rest after attending Barefoot Kids!

As a former employee, I would strongly encourage you to take an in-depth look at this school before you send your children there. The school is understaffed, so there is not enough supervision.

My child has attended Barefoot Kids since he was 2 years old and the social and academic progression he has made is tremendous! I highly recommend this school for pre-schoolers!
