Emmanuel Episcopal Day School gave my daughter the foundation for a love of learning. They encouraged knowledge and growth in the Christian faith. She attended as a 4 year old Pre-K student and finished the school year more than prepared to attend kindergarten and as a result, sending her to kindergarten was a seamless transition. The teachers and staff are impeccable. I never worried about leaving her in their safe and capable hands. I look forward to the day that my youngest child enrolls at EEDS.

I absolutely love this school! From the first day I walked in to tour with my then 2 year old, I knew it was the school for us. My daughter is now 4, and has enjoyed 2 years of of excellent classroom teaching, Spanish, Music and Computer programs along with extra curricular dance offered through the Starz Program . The class sizes are small and personal attention is given to each child and their needs, whether they be social, emotional or educational. The staff knows each child by name and seem genuinely happy to be there. I have never met a parent whose child attended that did not love EEDS and its family of teachers. I enthusiastically I recommend it to anyone I know that is looking for an affordable quality preschool education. We are relocating out of the area, and one of the things I will miss the most is Emmanuel Episcopal Day School and everyone there.

This PreSchool Is Truly A Hidden gem! It Has Been Literally Been Around For Generations. And You Will Never Find A Parent Who Has Experienced The School That Will Have AnyThing But Positive Reviews! The Learn Through Play Curriculum Is Integral To Its Continuous Success in preparing Kids For Kindegarten. The Class Sizes Are Small, Spanish, Computer Lab, Field Trips, And So Much Interactive Learning! The Kids Truly Love It And Develop Wonderfully Close Ties With Their Teachers. The Environment Is Incredibly Caring And Supportive. Watching My Child And Her classmates Grow Through This Program Is Inspiring. I Can't Wait For My Two Year Old To Start And Become Part Of The EEDS Family.

Emmanuel is a great school for preparing preschoolers for kindergarten with creative, hands-on experiences -- just the way that they learn. Small classes provide individual attention in a positive, caring atmosphere. The director and teachers are energetic and highly motivated; the clergy also are very involved with chapel time. Extras include computers, Spanish and field trips. I've been involved with the Day School Commission, which oversees the school, and have observed the school's operations from an administrative viewpoint.

My daughter attended as a 3 and then 4 year old, and my son has attended as a 2, 3, and currently a 4 year old. We have had nothing but great experiences, and we are sad that our youngest is graduating to Kindergarten soon. Very warm and loving environment. The new teachers are fantastic, and we have been very happy with the new Director. Always recommend this school to our friends with young children. Takes a bit of practice to understand the new traffic pattern since the City of VB changed the path of Princess Anne Road, but well worth the inconvenience. Safe place, love that they installed the fencing to the new road.

My oldest child attended EEDS for two years, as a 3 year old and a 4 year old. Overall we were very pleased with the school and its curriculum. Ms. Sessions and Mrs. Walker were fantastic teachers. My child was eager to learn and they really fostered that and encouraged his progress. He grew socially as well and became more independent and less nervous in new situations. They offer Spanish, music and computers which I liked, although my child was fairly unimpressed and didn't speak about unless I specifically asked. I deducted one star because I did feel like some of the communication from the director (or her assistant) was confusing or vague, although she is very nice and approachable. We are not church members, but did not feel like we were treated any differently than those who were and felt that the religious instruction for the children was age appropriate and never made us feel pressured or uncomfortable. EEDS is a good school with warm and active teachers and parents. I would definitely recommend anyone take a tour and check it out!

I love this school......The environment is friendly, the teachers are loving and friendly, the director is friendly. The kids are like a family with each other. There are 2 -5 years olds here and it feels like home and family as soon as you walk in. Come and see for yourself if you want a great school for your little one

I would recommend this school with some reservations. Our time there did not end well but it was mostly a great year! We felt (and others later echoed) that there was a lot of favoritism shown to certain children/families. However, the curriculum is great and I have nothing bad to say about the class experience itself. It is an adorable facility.

I am a parent that drives about 8 - 10 miles to come to this school. We love it. It feels like home the minute you set your feet in the school. Each child is greeted by the teacher individually. We love it!!!
