Dolley Madison Preschool is the best! We recently moved down from Connecticut and needed to find a preschool for my 2 year old son. Our two older boys had gone to a large preschool that focused more on curriculum vs. socialization. We wanted to find a more nurturing environment that allows children to become confident through social interaction. From experience, we've learned that the academics will follow in elementary school! DMPS is a non-profit, non-sectarian preschool offering education and enrichment programs for over 120 children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years old. In addition, they offer specialized speech and language programs that serve children ages eighteen months through their teen years. The school is unique in that they have both an outpatient therapy program and an inclusive developmental preschool program with school-based therapy services. The program allows our staff Speech-Language Pathologists to work collaboratively with the classroom staff in supporting our children with speech and language challenges to ensure a rewarding and successful learning experience.
This preschool is better known as Dolley Madison Preschool. Fabulous, experienced teacher with the personal, not corporate, touch. Age appropriate activity each day with music an art enrichment by specialists. Seasonal field trips offsite and special presentations (puppets, exotic animals, sea creatures) on special days. Outdoor play weather permitting. All three of my kids have been at DMPS and have loved it. What better way to introduce formal education to kids!
