This innovative method of teaching children has changed my son's life. The parents and teachers have a sense of unity that is astounding. Even better, the school is centered around teaching young children to care for and respect the land--fostering an agricultural education and embedding a profound and necessary love for the earth.

We love this school, and trust the directress, Edel Kunkel, completely! Our 5 year old son is reading and doing match beyond a first grade leve. Our 2 year old daughter is in the toddler program, and loves it. I would recommend Mountainside to anyone looking for an exceptional pre-school for their children.

This is an extraordinary school, a real community led by Edel Kunkel. The setting is idyllic, the group of students and parents is wonderful, and the results in our son's growth speak for themselves. Edel took him in diapers and a couple years later he is reading books himself. Fantastic value, invaluable experience.

We love this school. My son is in his 2nd year in the Primary program and loves it. He's excited to go to school and is learning a wide range of subjects as well as how to be a good steward to the Earth and an active part of a community.
