My son's teacher's are awesome the lead teacher cares about my son and our family! Wish he could have her next year :(.........Moron is a great school and really gets your child ready for the next step my son reads, spell, write, speak Spanish and Chinese! ! It's the staff at Moton supper patient and caring
My son's Pre-K experience has been remarkable so far. We have had a great experience at Moton. The weekly communication from the teacher regarding classroom activities and the work sent home is beneficial as a parent. I know which areas to reinforce so my child can improve. The class work is stimulating and well rounded. I was taken aback by the tone of orientation but the teacher has a much softer approach. It has been a great experience so far!
My son attended the school for the preschool program. I thoroughly enjoyed the amount of involvement that I was able to receive as this was my sons first year of school. Yes during the orientation the principal did touch bases on child neglect and other topics but if you look at the people around who are having children they are not that old and would like to have their child attend just so babysitter fees are no longer or just to have an empty house. So personally I feel the topics she touched was based off of previous experiences. Other than that, my son had a wonderful teacher Mr. Miller which worked with my son to make sure he was staying on task. (we found out this year he has ADHD) so it was truly a blessing to have had someone who was so patient with him not knowing. My son this year (K) took a test which allowed him to advance to 1st grade. The staff is great and I am so grateful my son attended.
I went to orientation yesterday and i literally left with a headache and ears ache. My headache was due to the principal speaking to us parents as common thugs, child neglectors and like we were beneath her. The orientation was not at all very welcoming or posit. I spoke to the woman next to me, whom i never met before, and she shared the same opinion of the orientation. If this is how the leadership of the school acts when the parents are present i fear what she does when we are not there. And as far as the school building itself it is full of trip hazards and wire runs hanging all over the play in the auditorium. For this 1st impression it will be my last and only, I'm pulling my son out and he will wait for a proper school with real professionals.
My daughter attended Moton last year and I am so happy that she did. Her teacher, Ms. Wise, is an exceptional teacher. Any child (and parent) lucky enough to have her for a teacher will not be disappointed. The rest of the staff are fantastic as well. I am so happy that not only is my son attending Moton this year, but he will have the good fortune to have Ms. Wise as his teacher.
This school has very little diversity. No counseling programs for children needing to speak to someone about divorce issues, self-esteem issues or any outside problems affecting behavior or school work. Very disappointing.
