Thank God this place has finally gone out of business due to the hard work of the owner who ran a $1 million dollar business completely into the ground. She is and has always been uneducated, immoral and unqualified. She is the only one giving good ratings to this dump. Sooo glad she will not be endangering the lives of any other children left in her "care". She takes with her her "3s" teacher/daughter who also never graduated high school. And let's not forget her son, a convicted felon who also worked at the day care with the children. Northern Virginia is a better place with this woman and her family out of business.
Wonderland is an excellent school. Wonderland gives very nuturitious food. All these false accusations are from people who didn't want to pay there bills and that is sad. Please call the Warrenton office and ask my inspector about how much food we give the children. We enjoy feeding them because we know this may be there only good meals of the day. Come by Wonderland any time and see our center.
I posted something yesterday on how terrible this daycare is and how I don't how parents even put their kids in this facility. Yesterday, the owner/Director not only reported my post but she then continued to call my cell phone and work phone leaving harrassing messages about "returning her paperwork" (she is referring to the tuition prices and ciriculum sheet she gave me). The director is the most unprofessional person I have ever met and this daycare is depolorable.
My son attended Wonderland for a year. At first we thought it was wonderful because of the perception of order. Once we got to know one of the caregivers (not teachers because they lack the proper accreditation) we began to notice the negatives. This facility does not provide a nurturing environment and is not safe. All the evidence is in the Department of Social Services reports and complaints. As the other reviewer pointed out read the contract carefully and hold the school to it as well. We had to push hard to obtain a refund on tuition that we had overpaid.
There's a reason there's no waiting list for this school. Just check the Department of Social Services website to see how many complaints have been filed against Wonderland. Most of their teachers are untrained (some barely speak English), cleaning supplies and hand soap are absent many days (done to save money), teachers have been caught not wearing gloves when changing diapers (again, no gloves to save money), teachers blasting music during naptime that would hurt anyone's ears (teachers caught many days napping too), and an unsafe playground (didn't meet VA child safety guidelines). Still interested? Then read the fine print on your contract to make sure you abide by EVERYTHING, or else you will have collections agencies calling you asking for money you already paid. .
I love Wonderland Child Care Center My daughter attended Wonderland for preschool last year. I had such a great experience I enrolled her into their summer program. The staff is personable, nurturing, flexible, and professional. My daughter was well prepared for kindergarten thanks to their educational program. At times they even assigned homework. The summer program keeps them busy with all types of activities and field trips. Every evening I pick her up the class is just finishing their writing or math assignments. Other great attributes of this center is the finger print entry system, the classroom cams and the early morning hours. This is the only center that opens at 5:30 in my area. The tuition is also very reasonable. The number one quality of Wonderland is that the owner is on site all day every day. Anytime I have questions, an issue, etc. She will quickly remedy the problem. She cares so much for these kids and she puts her heart and soul into this center. My daughter makes it a point to give her a hug as soon as she sees her and before we leave.
Wonderland is a great center. Our special needs child has attended for three years now and the staff excels in meeting her needs. We looked into other child care centers and none came close to Wonderland in their ability to be flexible and address our daughter's needs. She loves it here and enjoys the friendly atmosphere. We have been nothing but impressed with the staff and facility. We love it here.
My son loves going to Wonderland. As for me I love the teachers and staff, they have been great for my son and I. My son has only been there for 6 months and I'm glad I choose Wonderland over another care center with a waiting list. Wonderland had no waiting list. I called, then within in the next week my son had started at the center. We went to the center twice before he started and I had no complaints then or now.
The teachers care about the students and the web cam is great however they have issues with their air conditioning and the alarm system.
