Oak Hill Montessori has a day care for small kids and it is a Montessori school for ages 3-6. My daughter started there when she was 8 months old. She loved the environment and the teachers in the babies room and toddler room. She has been in the Montessori part since she was 3 years old. Ms Young is outstanding. She makes miracles. She loves the children and know how to develop their potential. My daughter reads since she was 4 and started reading chapter books before she turned 5. She is well behaved and has good manners, thanks to Ms Young. Her math skills are great too. She knows where the 50 states are and is learning the capitals. She knows the countries in North and South America and Asia. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased and I am very sad to know that soon my daughter will have to move on to another school.
Both of my children attended Capital Kids until 2007 when the older one was old enough to move onto Kindergarten. My younger child started when she was just an infant. At the time, there was a fair amount of staff turnover. We had a mixed experience there. My older daughter was very shy and wouldn't speak to the staff at all for the first 10 months that she attended the daycare center. Once I moved her up with the older kids at the center, she blossomed and the staff was so nurturing and loving and wonderful with her. They taught her to write her name; there is a lot of focus on academics at this daycare. In all, my daughters had a good experience while they were there. The facility is very clean and well organized.
