Golden Pond is an outstanding school! My son has been there for two years and will begin full day kindergarten next year. My younger son will start preschool there in the fall, as well. As a former teacher, I had very high expectations for my son's first school experiences. I wanted a strong academic foundation in a warm, nurturing environment. I really couldn't ask for more. The teachers truly care about the kids and I am amazed by what my son is learning. He loves going to school every day! There are many opportunities for parent involvement throughout the year and parents are always welcome. The school and classrooms are clean and well organized and very inviting for the kids. It's a very warm, kid-centered envirorment. You can feel it the minute you walk in the door. Communication is excellent, as well. I feel I always know what's going on in his classroom and the school as a whole and I can easily reach his teacher, when needed. Fantastic school - I just wish it continued all the way through the elementary years!
Great School! My daughter is in the full time KG program and my son is in 5 day pre school program. We are 100% satisfied in all aspects of our childrens' education at the GPS. This is our 3rd year at GPS and we love it!
I have 2 children at Golden Pond and my 3rd will be there next year. I have had no issues with any staff member or teacher in the past 2 years. They go above and beyond to make the experience wonderful for the children and the parents. My daughter will start full day kindergarten there next fall. I wish they taught at the elementary level. I would definitely send my kids there if they did.
I absolutely love Golden Pond School. Our oldest daughter is in the 2-day program and she can't wait to go back! The staff is friendly, the teachers are top notch, playground is updated, and its apparent that they keep the school clean and organized. Academically, I would have to say that it is great. My daughter is speaking more, expressing herself, learning to share better, and excited about learning in general. They even have music and art lessons once a week. The only issue I have is the price, but in this area its reasonable. Check it out!
Golden Pond is an excellent preschool. I felt compelled to place my own review when I read another parent's unhappy comments. After three years at GPS I love the staff, the curriculum and the way the school communicates with parents. There are Newsletters and photos which I find very informative. Every friday my child brings home a weekly folder and teacher's are great about emailing or calling. So much work goes into each and every program and my children have grown socially and been well educated. They cried on the last day of school because they love it there. What more could a parent want?
Golden Pond is an excellent school. The preschool program gave my child an outstanding foundation. He is more than prepared for his beginning years of elementary school. We were relocated out of the area six months ago and my son still aks about his friends and teachers. The curriculum is exceptional and the entire school made my son feel welcome and loved. I wish I could find another school as excellent as Golden Pond.
Golden Pond has an adequate curriculum, but lacks sound leadership from the head of school. When my child was being bullied by two children, the behavior was ignored by the teacher and defended by the head of school. If you're looking for a warm and nurturing environment for your preschooler, I'd look elsewhere.
