We have had a great experience with CCCC. The staff turnover is very low which has been great for our kids who have been at the center since they were babies. The kids learn in a fun way and the pre-k program for the 4/5 year olds is very good. The Kindergarten teacher at our elementary school said she can always spot the kids who come out of CCCC because they are so well prepared. The co-op factor was a huge plus for us because the parents are very involved and we always felt there were extra eyes watching what was going on. The facility doesnt have a "wow" factor, but it's got a cozy feel and our kids were very happy.
Two of our children attend and absolutely love it. Although in two separate classes, they still have moments to interact with each other as well.
Two of our children attend CCCC. Both since they were 12 weeks old and my maternity leave ended. We have been delighted with the center. Our boys are well cared for and they learn a lot. They are excited to 'go to school' every day. There has been very little turn-over in the five years we have participated. The staff is extremely communicative, caring, supportive and responsive. Also, there is consistency with the kids. Each of our boys is with other children that started as wee 'babies' in the Panda room. Our five year old will be moving on to Kindergarden in a few weeks and he is very well prepared. We have had great experiences with each 'class' and find that changes and enhancements are made to continue improving the center. Parents concerned with 'violations' should discuss them with the director and I believe your worries will be aleviated.
My children love it there. My son is an alumni and my daughter is currently enrolled in the Center. We have been there for six years and only have good things to say about the facility. The teachers are nurturing and very caring of the children. And as a parent-owned and parent-operated (CO-OP) facility the parents have significant involvement and impact on the quality of care and education of their child. Our family is very satistified with the care and developmental education of Crystal City Childrens Center.
