love this school..... there is a real sense of community here because when you co-op, you get to really know the kids and the families. the teachers are all fabulous and will prepare your child well for kindergarten and beyond. yes, the parents have to assume some responsibility in the running of the school, but that is why it's a CO-OP! it's worth the sacrifice to have your child attend this wonderful school!
The school is not quite a cooperative as the workload falls disproportionately on the shoulders of the parents who choose to be involved. The Board of Directors needs to change. The same people are there over and over and there isno process of election. The school does not deal with social problems among the children as it should. A lot of unacceptable behaviors are allowed to pass at this school
We love this half day preschool. It is one of the few cooperative (which means that parents take turns assisting the teacher) schools that is nationally accredited by NAEYC. It has been around for over 60 years and its philosophy is learning through play.
