Kids School at Stowe

Went for a visit to see if we would like it for our child- the building is falling apart, there are holes in the ceiling, it is packed with junk, is dark and poorly lit, the furniture and toys are old and worn, dreary bathrooms, the place smells bad (perhaps from the turtle in its algae coated terrarium?). Lots of safety hazards - saw 2 kids get injured in the head in about an hour, one tripped over a toy and went head first into a metal railing surrounding a woodstove, another was kicked by a kid on a swing. Employes seem frazzled and half-interested, seem more interested in their coffee than the crying toddlers. Many crying, hitting children. Couldn't believe this place has a license. Did not see any Waldorf principles in action, just chaos and lots of unhappy kids.

My 2 boys are encouraged to be themselves and foster their own personalities and explore their couriosity under the guidence of wonderful teachers. This is a Waldorf based school which I truly believe in - in terms of building the mind, body and soul. Children are encouraged to work together, communicate and have fun while doing it. I can't imagine my boys going anywhere else. They love Kids School

Both of my children have and do attend Kids School and I cannot say enough positive things about the experience from their perspective and my own. It is an empowering experiance for child and adult.

Amazing! My daughter has attended Kid's School and has found a place to be herself! The directors are very connected with the children and are wonderful role models. I can not say enough wonderful stuff about the school!

I love this school. My kids learned great social skills and it is very much like home. They get a lot of time in the fresh air and there is great interaction with the children of all age groups between 2 to kindergarten.
