New owners have NOT made a difference. While there are a number of good teachers here the management and communication is completely dysfunctional. As others have stated my child's class has been a merry go round of teachers I have seen 6 come and go since the beginning of the year. Just the other week the director walked out and quit in the middle of the day. I had requested meetings with the previous owners on more than one occasion to talk about some concerns I had and was rebuffed every request. As much as I love the teachers I refuse to put my kids in this dysfunctional situation any longer. I was really hopeful that the new ownership would improve things but the decision to promote the former Asst Director, who in my experiences, was rude, condescending and almost impossible to work with or communicate with solidified the decision for me that we are done!
Primrose of Rockwall has new owners and management team as of 9/2/14. New cameras are up and running. Teacher turn over has all but stopped. The teachers are happy. The children are learning. I encourage everyone looking for quality educational childcare to visit the Rockwall location now that it is under new ownership & management.
My children have been attending primrose of rockwall for almost 2 years, they are currently 4 and 5. When we first started attending we were extremely happy with the teacher/student ratios and the quality of the education. Over the last 6 months the school has taken a drastic turn for the worse. Poor management and owners who are NEVER there have run this school into the ground. Teacher turnover is insanely high, every time they hire a qualified new teacher they are gone within weeks, several walking out midday. I feel like the star is treated with extreme disrespect. Teachers frequently are now alone in the classroom with 25 children. If it wasn't for the fact that the teachers in my children's classroom are excellent I would have pulled my kids out months ago. As it is we done at the end of August and I'm looking for a new school for my youngest child's last year of preschool.
My daughter (17 months) attended this school for 6 weeks. Prior to starting the school called and said they had her starting May 1 but hadn't seen her. I reminded them that per several conversations she would be starting May 15. Our first bill had to be corrected several times to reflect the days my daughter was actually there. I start wondering who is running the place. Around this same time I notice that one of the two teachers is changing day to day. My daughter then starts crying at pick up and drop off. Next thing you know she comes home with bruises down her spine. We paid the $50 summer fee and realize most of the summer activities take place on T&TH when she isn't there. We share our concerns with asst director. She seems concerned, tells us these matters will be addressed, and asks us to give them a few days. The director NEVER says a word to us about this. After days of no follow up and no changes we turn in our notice. On our last day, my daughter was bit again and nobody noticed. Combined these issues show that this school is poorly run. We also found out that the owners are changing now as well. 6 teachers in 6 weeks is not acceptable to me.
I worked as a director for this school for 6 years and it was ran very well and the owner were very involved! Primrose is a well organized school from its individual owners to its cooperate office!!!!! The curriculum is top notch!
