My daughter just went through their Pre Kinder program. She learned so much this year and the graduation was done with pride! The teachers kept me up to speed often and she had a take hm folder with things for us to do at home also. Any concerns were addressed quickly by the teachers and the director. I would recommend Open Arms to anyone!
This School is an awesome learning environment. All the Teachers have CDA's or are going to school for their Teaching Degree. Open Arms is a Texas Rising Star School with the State of Texas. They use the Guidelines for Texas Education of Preschool and Prekindregarden and use the Ages and Stages as a guideline to create lessons individualy for the children in their care. I would recomend this school to ANYONE. it is a very High Quality School.
This is definitely a day-care and NOT a preschool, though they'll tell you otherwise. My daughter was in a Pre-K program here (before I pulled her out around Christmas). All they did was color printouts of Jesus and play computer games. There was NO circle-time, NO set topic for the day, NO talk of letters, numbers, etc. It was awful. When I expressed my concern about the lack of academic direction, the director accused me of being a bad mother. Oh, and no one in the building has a degree--in education or in anything else. This place should be closed down.
