Acorn Tree Learning Center

I have been looking for a daycare for my two children over the past month. I have went to every day care establishment in Palestine, TX and Acorn Tree was definitely the worst. The director there tried very hard to sell me on her "learning center" but I was not impressed at all and even worse I left worried for the children there. This daycare is a small house. They do not have good seperations for the age groups, I asked the director to show me where the 2 year olds were daily and she showed me nothing inside and instead lead me outside ot an enclosed area (with metal siding and a roof) with NO ventilation, they had all the 2 year olds outside in this little shack and it was 100 degrees outside!! she said they kept them out there for an hour!! All of their faces were red like they were going to have heat strokes. Then she proceeded to show us a very large indoor play area that was air conditioned, but there were no children playing in it. Why would they even put the 2 year olds outside in the 100 degree temperature in the texas heat if they had an indoor air conditioned playground?? Something is not right here. The director had also said they had "issues" in the past.

My two daughters had come here since each was 6 weeks old through kindergarten. I was always suprised at what they would teach me each day. When your 3 year old can tell you the stages of life of a butterfly and name 10 dinosaurs...its truely amazing. The girls never complained of being mistreated by staff members which is a big deal! I would never pick anyother daycare facility. Very family and child oriented. All of the women on staff are more than wonderful. Kenda Schattel

All 3 of my grandchildren attended Acorn Tree and learned so much. I plan to return them back to Palestine so they may go back to Acron Tree! Very good care service. Highly recommended

My daughter has attended this preschool since she was 1 year old. I have been overly pleased with all aspects of the school. The curriculm is aligned perfectly with the public schools in the area. I am also a teacher, and I have seen the wonderful advantage that thier students have in Kindergarten! It is amazing.
