If you're looking for a Montessori school to enroll your child in, this is not the place. If you are familiar with the method ( as you should be if you are enrolling your child in such a program) just shadowing for an hour will help you realize that this organization is merely some place to leave your kids while you're at work. The Montessori method is rarely, if ever, implemented. Most of your child's time will be spent waiting in line or taking a nap. Teachers are not well trained nor does there seem to be enough of them. Keeping the teacher to student ratio in mind, all too often one teacher is left with more than 9 toddlers at a time, which is not only unsafe, but illegal. On a more personal note, the teachers are not very friendly or warm when parents exit the school. They are not passionate about what they do, they are only there for a paycheck. My advice is to do your research when you look into this institution, as they are not who and what they claim to be. I would also ask them if there has ever been a case filed against them, legally, they are obligated to release that information.

Both of my children were at Daffodils Pre-School from 18months-5 years. The teachers are wonderful and the curriculum helped my children get off to a fast start in kindergarten. I highly recommend Daffodils!

I love Daffodil's. We have been going there since my little girl was in the nursery. Both of my kids attend there and we have been very happy. Choosing a daycare is one of the hardest decisions I had to make and I have been very pleased. The staff and teachers feel like family to me and treat our kids like that. Additionally, we are extremely pleased with both of our kids progression through the Montessori program. My 5 year old is already reading and her math skills are impressive for her age level. The school offers all the extras that you usually have to pay for like Spanish, Fun Bus, Music, Yoga & computers. It's already included so they have a very well rounded program. I highly recommend this school.

Daffodils Pre-school stands head and shoulder above any pre-school in the Mckinney/Frisco area. The entire staff, from teachers to administration are genuinely engaged and truly care about education and the nurturing of our children. I had not realized that difference until I enrolled my girls at Daffodils having left a previous montessori school due to dissatisfaction on my part with the teachers/staff and their lack of interest in educating the kids. Daffodils is a Montessori pre-school where the approach to education is noticeably first class. My only regret is that I didn't enroll my kids here sooner.

This school is fantastic. The teachers and all the staff are very loving. I have read some of the reviews and i would like to say that I am not aware of any teacher turnover in the 2 and 1/2 years my daughter attended the school. She learned so much, in terms of personal development as well as academics, and she can already read and write. She used to be very shy around anyone (kids/adults) and now she is a lot more comfortable. She is starting kindergarten next year, and we already signed up our second daughter for the next school year. I would recommend this school to anybody who wants their kids to receive an exceptional care.

We ve had two of our children at Daffodils over the course of 8 years and during this time we have seen hardly any staff turnover, which is rare in preschools. Majority of Daffodils teachers have been with them since they opened over 9 years ago. All the lead teachers have degrees and training, and the staff is very loving. I have always found the school to be well staffed, they also have a full time float who helps in the classes. Daffodils was referred to us by another parent and we are grateful. The school has provided a caring, loving and nurturing environment for our children and given them a strong academic foundation. Majority of the enrollment is referral based, which is testament to the quality of the program. Sometimes a particular environment is not a good fit for a child, but it is unfair to submit reviews that are not based on facts. We have had a wonderful experience at Daffodils and would highly recommend it. Daffodils is a hidden gem!

My family loved this school. The only reason we aren't still enrolled is that we have relocated. I've seen the same teachers since my first child started there in 2008. My second child graduated this year. We loved this school because it's one of the few places that offered 2 and 3 day programs as well as half day programs. My kids did the 2 and 3 day programs and were reading by the age of 4. My oldest child was reading at a second grade level in kindergarten. The school is always clean. The teachers have been nice to my children and polite to my husband and me, as has the director. We enjoyed the Christmas and end of year performances and the art expos and presentation night gave us as parents, the opportunity to see what our children had accomplished. My kids enjoyed their yoga, and art classes as well as the fun bus sessions. Neither of my kids cried a single day at school and always came home smiling and happy. I would definitely recommend this school to parents who'd like to give their kids a well rounded education.

We did a lot of research for child's daycare and initially thought this would be the perfect fit for us. Unfortunately, although the school gets great ratings, there are a lot of issues we've seen since our child was enrolled. They have a high turnover of teachers in this school. They also rotate teachers from older classrooms to younger classroom and we think it's very disruptive to a child's routine. I've also noticed there are some communication/language barriers with some of the teachers at this school. It made it very difficult to understand how our child's day was. We've since moved to another Montessori in Allen and are very pleased with our decision to take our child out of Daffodils. Good luck parents! Like a few reviews before, do your research!!

We loved the school and the teachers. I am unaware of any teacher turnover in the two years that we attended the school. Our prior school seemed to have constant turnover. Our child has learned so much at this school. We wish we would have found it earlier so our older child would have had the same experience. We highly recommend this school to all.

My kids have gone to Daffodils since they were in the nursery, and I cannot imagine them being anywhere else. The teachers and staff at Daffodils are amazing, and my children have learned so much. I recommend this school to everyone...we could not be happier!

We have had a wonderful experience at Daffodils. We are strong believers in the Montessori philosphy and Daffodils lived up to all our expectations. Our youngest son just graduated and has been there since he was an infant. He has grown and learned so much there. The staff has been amazing from day one. They have truely opened his mind to the art of learning. The staff has treated him like they would their own child with much love and respect. The facility is always kept very clean too.

Being a very cautious and paranoid parent, I did EXTENSIVE research into several schools in the area before choosing Daffodils. It has an impeccable record. After spending months looking through parents' comments online , physically meeting several parents whose kids went there, and checking independent sources, this school came out a clear winner. I have a VERY difficult time trusting my child to anyone's care after a very bad and traumatic experience I had with an earlier care provider, and so for me to trust my child with Daffodils, that says and means A LOT. In fact, the care, warmth and meticulousness demonstrated by the staff and management has really helped me as a parent to trust again. The owners and management are always willing to go the extra mile, which shows in the consistency, quality and low turnover rate of their staff, the word of mouth business this school gets and the no. of satisfied parents I have met. Every parent deserves the peace of mind that I finally have found with Daffodils.

Please do you research into this school. We had a very serious issue happen regarding our son and seriously advise parents to find another center for your childcare needs. I would suggest looking into the state websites.

I couldn't be happier with the care, education and nurturing my boys receive at Daffodils Montessori Preschool. I was looking for a school with values and that would focus on their individuality and education rather than a "daycare" environment plus I needed to be able to afford the school:)!. My sons LOVE Daffodils Montessori Preschool. It is the best feeling in the world to see them so excited about going to school - I love hearing "mommie I had a great day:-)!"... "momme I did... and we did..." I feel very confident that they are getting great instruction in academics and learning essential life skills through the Montessori method. The staff is awesome..patient, sincere, gentle and their love of children shows everyday. I highly recommend Daffodils Montessori Preschool to anyone who is looking for a Montessori school for their children!

My husband and I were lucky enough to have his mother watch our son while we worked. After our son turned 2, we noticed that he sought the companionship of children his age as he was an only child. We decided to put him in a Montessori School when he turned 2 so he could play with children his age and attain the essential knowledge needed for his age group. We interviewed four schools and knew from the moment we stepped into Daffodils that it was the place for us! All of the staff was friendly and, most importantly, the kids were smiling. We didn t see much of that at the other schools. Our son is now in the Apple Room and LOVES his teachers, the classroom and his classmates. He runs into school with a smile on his face. The first thing he does when he gets to his classroom is give his teacher a big hug. As a parent, it makes you feel good knowing that you are leaving your child in good hands. I would definitely recommend Daffodils!

Daffodils came highly recommended to us when we evaluated preschools for our daughter. She started daffodils at 18months and is now in her last year prior to kindergarten. She could not be happier and neither could we! She started as a shy, timid toddler and has blossomed into a very confident young child. Every teacher we have had has been terrific. They are passionate about teaching, and always offer tips and suggestions for at home activities to help your child grow. The school is family owned and operated, and they are passionate about the progressive Montessori approach to education. In addition, the vast majority of teachers have remained the same since she started which has created a very stable environment for our child. We highly recommend Daffodils for any parent. If we had to do it all over again, we wouldn t change a thing!

When our daughter was 3 years old we started looking for preschools. My husband was very particular about joining our daughter in a MontessoRi school. So we started looking around and heard about Daffodils through a family member. We liked what we saw and enrolled her in a 2 day program but within months we moved her to 5day program. She enjoyed everyday of it.Daffodils gave a good foundation in reading , science and math. The classrooms are neat and well organised and the teachers are loving and caring..Thanks to Daffodils she is way ahead at reading in her grade and loves to paint. Their unique approach to encouraging children develop their individual interest and at the same introducing them to different things proved invaluable when she started kindergarten. Our son just started in the2 day program at Daffidils and he loves it.

We enrolled our son in this school when he was 4 years-old, for full-day preschool. At the time, I was not well-versed in the philosophies of Rudolf Steiner and of Reggio Emilia. I could see, however, that the sizes of the classrooms and the relatively small percentage of activities were child directed meant that Daffodil's had precious little Montessori DNA. Now that I know more about Steiner and Emilia, I can say with confidence that this school uses none of their philosophies. Ultimately, it was their inflexibility and the overcrowding that led us to withdraw our son. At 4 1/2, he had not napped for over a year, and was asked to remain laying down, doing nothing, for an hour every afternoon. The school was not willing to work with us on this. I can appreciate how much the teachers needed that break, teaching way too many students in such tiny, linoleum-covered classrooms. But it was silly, really. If you want a place your child will be safe and probably entertained, fine. But if you're looking for anything to do with Montessori, Steiner or Emilia, keep on looking. It will not be found at Daffodil's.

It was a difficult decision on choosing a preschool for my little girl. We didn't want to leave her with anyone. We wanted to feel safe, it was hard at the time thinking about leaving her with a strager...It was her first year away from us. We didn't really know anyone in the area so we were doing the research all on our own. When we went to daffodils first for a tour we loved the faciltiy. It was a school not daycare enviroment. That was what first got our attention. We loved that they had extra activities each day, yoga, fun bus, music, art, computers, cooking, .. very structured. Fun programs during the holidays (we all love to see our kids on stage or enjoy a fun party). They make an extra effort. The tuition is very reasonable for what they offer. The teachers and staff are very sweet and take good care. She has attending the school for 2 years. This coming fall she will start KD. The Montessori teaching is wonderful. She's very prepared for KD. She's reading, adding and subtracting and so much more... I will be sending our son when he's of age. We would recommend this school to anyone!

I was concerned about putting my daughter in a strict Montessorri environment. I started her at Daffodils because it seemed to have a positive environment with many activities. She started out at 2 years old and went until she started kindergarten. I can't begin to tell you how impressed I was with her progress. Her vocabulary increased immediatly, she became more independent, and she was learning her letters and numbers at such a young age. When she started kindergarten, she already knew much of what they were teaching. She also seemed much more mature than other children who had just been in a mother's day out program or at home. I'm so thankful to Daffodils and their teachers for preparing my daughter for school!

This was my daughters first preschool at 2. I was dissatisfied with how little Montessori experience she was getting for her age and found (after volunteering) that the kids spend a lot of time sitting waiting for the next activity, then sitting again. The classrooms are too small which is why they move them from room to room for activity. I feel this wasted a lot of time where again, the kids were sitting or lining up. I did not see any true Montessori stations or lesson where they were choosing activities on their own and bringing it back to their table. The co-teacher displayed no joy or affection and sure looked like she hated her job (even as I sat there to volunteer). I was miserable experiencing it for just one day and immediately pulled my daughter to look for a new school.

We just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with the care provided by the teachers and director during our daughters transition into Daffodils. It is very apparent that she is enjoying herself and we have definitely seen her develop socially in just a few weeks. She loves her teachers and is learning so much. Thank you again for providing such a caring environment and we do appreciate all the feedback her teachers and the director have provided.

We started at this school at the beginning of the summer after leaving a great pre-school because we moved. My 3 year old daughter was overwhelmed by the large class size in the summer (which we had not expected) and there were many 4 year olds in her class, which we had also not expected. Every day she went to school was a struggle. We were hoping Fall would be better, but have had a hard time getting any help to finish potty training (they didn't work on it this summer at all). She came home every day in a wet and/or dirty pullup and we noticed the kids were coming into the classroom from the playground unsupervised to use the restroom. Some were wandering in the hallway or playing in the classroom. I found my daughter in the bathroom by herself one day with a wet and dirty pullup and she had no idea how to clean herself up. She does fine at home in underwear, so I don't believe they tried very hard to help her. We decided it's time to move on. This school looks good on paper, but we were very disappointed and upset that we have to change her routine again.

Daffodils Preschool is the best kept secret in Dallas! I heard about it from some mother's in my son's play group. Their kids went to Daffodils and they were full of praises. I enrolled my son at Daffodils and he has been there for 3 years now. He will be graduating and starting kindergarten this year. I am amazed at how much he has learned. He is reading at a grade 1 level !! I have been extremely pleased with the curriculum, the personalized attention given by the teachers and Director and the creative and enriching learning environment they have created.

I am not a parent , but I taught as an early childhood teacher for several years and I am a trained Early Childhood Therapist. I have recommended Daffodils to several parents after having the opportunity to visit Daffodils and observe the classrooms on several occasions. I have been extremely impressed with their program. Their curriculum incorporates several early childhood philosophies providing children with an academically enriching and engaging curriculum. The facility is designed in a child friendly manner and unlike most other schools I visit I have always found the children to be happy.

Daffodils Montessori School is the best school around. I have a 3 year old and a 2 year old that attend Daffodils. Academically it is amazing! I can really see what a difference this environment has enhanced my children's lives. The school is extremely clean and the teachers and director are first rate. You want your children to start out with a good foundation and I know that is what my children are getting socially and academically. The best part is my kids love going to school. Thanks to Daffodils I know my children are getting a great education and are safe. If your looking for an exemplary school Daffodils is that school.

I can definitely recommend Daffodils Montessori School. Our son has been attending Daffodils for 2 years. Sabiha, the director and all of the teachers are loving and kind. They provide a very clean and comfortable environment for the children. The teachers are great in dealing with the little disputes that arise between kids. They really believe in the power of positive reinforcement. This has been so important for our son because children will be, what they experience everyday. He has learned to share with other children and be tender hearted to their feelings. They have great extra curricular programs such as the tumble bus, cooking, music, gardening, spanish and yoga. His favorite place is 'Town Center.' The staff at Daffodils Montessori has created a 'child-size' town for the children to play. This is great for their imagination. Daffodils has a green house for our son to do gardening. Our son loves circle time and singing his ABC's. This was very impressive when he was only 20 months old! The teachers come from different backgrounds and generations and complement each other beautifully. I feel so fortunate to have our son at Daffodil's Montessori.

This school is the best think that happened to my family. My children love to be there, the environment is so friendly, they never sick. We fell very blessed to have it in our lives. I will recommended it to anyone. The curriculum is great, they seem to be learning so many things. My daughter is 4 years old and she already writes her name and know numbers until 100 in English and in Spanish. She knows the continents, but the most important for me is that she is very organized, she has an structure to follow. My son loves his teachers and can wait to be at the school. He is having so much fun while he is learning.

We have been very pleased with this school. Our son has been there two years and has really done well. As a 2-3 year old he was learning computer skills and terminology (among other things!) All of the teachers are awesome. My daughter just started in the nursery program and I had no reservations. Both of my children I feel are truly loved by the teachers. I can not say enough wonderful things about this school and their programs.
