Wonderful year for us. Third grade teachers, Mrs. Sims and Mrs. Taylor, really encouraged my child and he has done wonderful! Mr. Coleman is an excellent Principal and has a well run school.
We have truly enjoyed my child's teacher this year Mrs. Friday. I do have issues with the assessment protocol for reading readiness with this campus. My child was assessed and placed in an at-risk group. I was then told that he placed in the 90th percentile and did not need reading assistance. However, they never removed him from the reading group. He was being removed from the regular classroom during instructional time and placed in the reading help group. The organization and protocol for the reading specialties concerned me. My child was eventually removed from the group and placed back in his regular classroom. He is doing well and through the confusion he was still thriving. He was concerned initially about not being with his friends while he was being pulled out of class. But he is doing well now. We are also concerned that there is not a music program.
