Helen Edward Early Childhood Center

It is a great school, however they lost their number 1 teacher and leader, she not only was a great P.E. teacher, but she taught the children much more, she will be missed. I know she will be sucessful and do a great job in the K.I,S.D. in her new job.

This is a great school for the first years of your childs life. The teachers and staff are very well trained to handle all situations the children are facing, learning to cope with a new way of life and helping the parents with these changes as well. I give this school a great big thumbs up!

Helen Edwards has teachers and Staff I personally know and that they are professional and they care about the children they teach. I can say from experience with my granddaughter that this school looks out for her and her best interest. I am proud she is in attendance at this school.

Helen Edward's is a beaufiful school. Most of the teachers seem intergetic and upbeat. The cericulum is intence, but good. Some parents still like to walk their child in the school at this age. However, that is discuraged by the staff. With children this young it is important to have more face to face conversations with the teachers. Not just writen conversation in a spiral notebook, which is what the staff perfer. With 22 children in the class room,I can understand why.More parent and teacher teamwork would be nice.Feeling welcome when you came to the school would also be nice. The children go to the cafateria in the mornings where they provide free breakfast,the children have cards with their names on them waiting for them to use.Some mornings my child say's her card is not there, so she does not eat.There is not enough staff in the cafeteria helping the children.
