I had 2 children go through this school. It hasn't been without a few bumps, but overall, this is a top school. We have loved our teachers and our children have been loved and supported. The woman heading this school takes a personal interest in every child and has become like family to us. Great, diverse classes. But the nurturing we have found has been wonderful.
the best school I have ever seen! both teachers and administrion staff are fantastically dedicated. loving, nurturing and safe place! They pay attention to each child and their love and care made my daughter confident, happy each day. I can't say enough about the WMDS! I am happy to find this school last year, but I really wish I could find this school 2 years ago. Big thanks to Ms. Hunter and Ms. Jean, my daugher's class teachers! Also to extended day program, Ms. Londa and Ms. White, all staff and director of Westbury school.
Your child will be recognized and nurtured for the individual he is! The entire staff forms a special bond with each child, something I have seen only in a handful of schools. I can not say enough about this wonderful school and its fantastically dedicated teachers and staff. So happy we discovered this gem of a school!
I can't say enough about the WMDS program! If you are looking for a warm and loving environment for your child this is it. We get lots of communication from our child's teacher and she makes us feel very involved in her education. Both the staff and director have an open door policy. We will be sad to leave when my child is ready to move on.
I couldn't have asked for a better preschool for my son. The school provides a loving and nurturing environment. The teachers are fantastic and my son has learned so much. The staff is friendly and you always know what is happening at school. I am very sad my son will be leaving WMDS behind next year. We will miss it. My daughter will not start for another year, but I will definitely be sending her there. I simply love it!
What a fabulous, nurturing, safe, loving place for these children. The teachers...all the staff, actually....are happy to be there and their love and concern for the children is obvious. Lots of communication from the teachers. Thank you Westbury for all you do for kids at your school.
i was paying a lot more for preschool and was not happy with the teachers and or administration. westbury is a loving and supportive school with great teachers, administrators and other parents. the cost is excellent also. make sure you at least look at this school before you decide where to send yout children.
This is a fabulous school.excellent academic curriculum; two teachers in every class; music class with music teachers; Spanish class with Spanish teachers; involved and active staff and parents. I wish we found this long before we did! Our daughter just finished kindergarten, and her class had 11 students and two teachers! One of only a very small number of schools with a half-day kindergarten program. They have a lot of outside time too. The class is 'center' oriented with fabulous centers. The art projects are great. The reading, spelling, and math programs are challenging, yet completely age-appropriate. We highly recommend this school.
I continue to be very thankful for having found this nurturing little preschool through word of mouth. It is a friendly, family-centered place. Our daughter has had a very positive pre-K experience here, to the point that we just signed up our 2-year-old for next year. The main benefit has been social and emotional growth; academics are present but not a huge focus (Spanish; music; 1 letter a week for 4's class). My only other complaint is that for a Christian school, there is plenty of 'secular' content - units on Halloween, Easter bunny, Santa, etc. - but certainly no worse than a public school, and at least somewhat balanced out by monthly chapel services and like 2 Christian units (Christmas, Easter). The director and staff are professional and caring; parent involvement is encouraged; ballet or gymnastics after school a plus. I would definitely recommend this school to any conscientious parent.
