My 4 year old started at this school for the fall 2014 school year. On the third day of school I was called in for a parent teachers conference. The principal said that my daughter cried too much and that she was immature, a 4year old that never attended school was immature. Long story short I was offended and I withdrew my child immediately. I thought that comment was very rude and unprofessional. I will never recommend this "school" to anyone.

My daughter is currently in Ms. Gilmore's 2011-2012 Pre-K class and I have noticed so much excitement about learning in my child. My daughter comes home talking to me about living organisms and earth materials. She learns so much and Ms. Gilmore makes learning fun by engaging the children through iPads and Tablets, letting them explore new advances in technology and my daughter loves how they "get the wiggles out" through song and dance. I am deeply saddened that the end of the school year is quickly approaching. I wish my daughter could continue on at MLK, but she has had a wonderful foundation and beginning to her educational future. The principal, Ms. Coleman, runs a tight ship and is very organized and active in every aspect of the campus. It's common to see her working in the cafeteria, carpool lanes, etc. I see her whenever I go to the school and I know that my daughter is safe in this school. The only downfall is the Parent Involvement Group, the same lady has been the chairperson and does not send home any notices, respond to inquiries or keep parents aware of any new projects. Thanks MLK for being the BEST source of education for my child.

My son was in Ms. Johnson's class in 2006-2007 Pre-K, one out of the two Best teachers he has ever had. She said Nicholas works well with his hands, very good in math I always thought about that. She suggested the Rice School which he is now attending, specializes in Technology and Spanish. They have after school Robotics and he loves it, Ms. Johnson was right he loves working with his hands and one day Nick plans to be an Engineer! Thank You Ms. Johnson!

My son has been in Ms. Johnson's class this year and has absolutely loved every moment. My son never really went to daycare and was really scared the first day, but when we picked him up he came out smiling. My son has learned to be more independent, and such a good leader. I recommend this school to anyone who has a preschool aged child. If you get Ms. Johnson, your child will be one happy kid. We will miss her greatly! The staff is great as well, Crystal and Ms. Matthews run a tight ship, but are very friendly and always eager to help with anything.

My son Jeremiah absolutely adored this school. Ms. Hayes was his teacher he never wanted to be abscent, most important I could see the difference in him. I really loved this school, its very inviting & the kids are treated like little adults(so independent).

I LOVE this school! My oldest went here and now I have another little one here as well. He LOVES it! Due to the hurricane, of course it's closed. My son likes it so much he wants to go to school with a flash light! It truly is a great school. He has my two year old, daddy and I singing the songs he has been taught. Like the L-O-O-K song(I'm not sure that's the name of it, but it spells LOOK). Would recommend it to anyone.

My daughter was lucky to have Mrs. Thomas as her first teacher in public schools. She really cares about her students and you can tell she loves what she does. My daughter has learned so much at MLKJr it's amazing. The principle, Ms. Coleman and the staff are wonderful. I felt it was a safe and secure environment.

I thank God that my son attends this school. It's really more of a private school than public. The security at this school is just great. Just anyone can't come inside, you have to ring the doorbell and then, show id if they're not familiar with you. They pretty much know the parents of each student. I feel so good knowing that my son is safe when he's in school. Everyone is just so, so friendly. My son has seizures and the school nurse is so friendly and understanding and concerned about the kids. I felt so grateful knowing that my son was in good hands. My son's teacher, Mrs. LeRoy is the best. My son has learned exceedly a lot from her. He loves Mrs. LeRoy and Mr. Fletcher and Mrs. Cedarholm. I love this school....it's really a great school and I'd reccommend it to anyone.... (my son, Tyran)
