Friendswood Children's House
Develops honesty: Disagree

This is a " just getting by" school at best. Integrity, fairness and honesty are learned by example and there are probably 2 teachers left that fit into this category. To the other teachers, this job seems to be a means to an end, i.e. they need the paycheck. This goes up to the top; the director cares about the number of students that can be packed into each class and will make all kinds of compromises to do so.

My child attended the after school care for about 7 months. The worst day care I have ever had. 1) Vacuum the floor in front of kids while watching the kids due to lack of caregivers 2)It takes a couple of weeks to obtain the statement for the tuition due to inefficient bookkeeping 3) When employees are not properly taken care of the child, the employer covers it. The behavior is not corrected as the employees are related to their employer.4)The teacher never talked to me about the child's progress

The school is run as a business and not interested in the child's welfare and developmental learning needs. The staff are unable to offer any sort of differentiation in teaching ability. The director / owner wants everything her way or the highway. She does not listen and actively discourages any parent involvement with the children. She is paranoid to an extreme about events and bringing people in to the school for further learning. All in all very disappointed with our experience there and would advise prospective parents to think twice. Cold and disorganized atmosphere and high staff turnover and nepotism runs high in the school. The facilities for the kids are old and run down and the playground is in urgent need of a upgrade. In short move on and find another school for your kids.

This school is a business and is not interested in the welfare of your child. There is ZERO communication at this school. The *structure* that they are so proud of does not instill in your child the value of learning. They do not encourage the individual child to learn. I would not recomend any parent to place their child in this environment.

Both my children went to this school and I couldn't have been happier. It is a cozy, friendly environment with excellent but age-appropriate academics.

This is an excellent pre-school in the Friendswood area. My son had attended a different pre-school, and this one was far superior. The teaching staff is excellent and it provides a great structured environment.
