Both of my children attended the Univ. of N.Texas Child Development Lab from 03-05. This preschool is excellent! My degree is teaching with a focus on early childhood education and the Lab school is the only preschool I found in this city to be age appropriate. All learning in the 3's is play based with a little more teacher directed in the 4's. The school also utilizes the college's education department and brings in excited future early childhood teachers to present lessons. I cannot say enough about this place!! The only drawback is the discipline is weak. When my second daughter started the 3's there was a mean boy who would kick and misbehave and nothing much was done about it. Also, the program is contingent on the teacher. There was a change and it wasn't as good. Overall a great start for little ones.
