Cornerstone Cooperative Preschool in Denton, Texas is one of the highest level preschools in all ways. No worksheets and computers, but down to earth REAL learning experiences that are age appropriate. The curriculum is structured to take advantage of all available resources, in particular the talents of all the parents in this parent run school, yet the curriculum is flexible enough to take advantage of special circumstances as they develop. The parents help out in the classrooms bringing their culture and experiences to help broaden the offerings. The school has lots of ethnic diversity. For example, the children learn to count in all languages that are native to the parents. Music is integrated at every turn. In addition to bikes, trikes and slides, the outdoors is explored including planting, harvesting, composting, and exploring bugs! Social skills are stressed at all times as the children learn to live in our world. Cornerstone is an open door to the world. What a great way for children to grow up! My two daughters attended the school for 3 years each and I have followed the school through the years
