This is our sons second year @ St. James. We've looked at several schools for preschool and beyond and know this is the best decision. He's grown so much academically and socially. They have an awesome Montessori program with loving, caring certified teachers and staff. The teachers have a great appreciation of the Montessori Method of learning. I love their open door policy and how in tune the school is with the happenings of each child. We tried a different Montessori school but found it was too strict on pushing the curriculum vs developing the child.

We have been so pleased with our decision to send our daughter to St. James. The Montessori curriculum is excellent and the teachers and staff are very well trained and fantastic with the kids. It's a nice large facility and the location is convenient to many different areas of Austin. My daughter loves going to school at St James and we have been so impressed by what she has learned and how she has matured. They really care about each student at St James and that makes a great school.

St James has been great for our family, our daughter loves it here. She's been at the school for 16 months, and she has progressed significantly over the past year. The teachers are very good, they provide an excellent montessori experience. We very much like the structure of the school; they run a very well organized and disciplined environment. We also appreciate the extended hours (7:15-6:00), the diverse cultures represented, and the cost is extremely affordable. We feel we are getting a better education for my daughter, at half the cost of her previous Montessori school.

My son began this year at St. James' and we could not be happier. He is one of the younger students but is given appropriate attention from the teachers and staff and is simply thriving. The facilities - classrooms and outdoor play area - are wonderful. The location is also handy if you work downtown. It takes me ten minutes down MLK to get to my office (near campus). We couldn't be happier with our choice of school.

Wise and loving teachers, Montessori curriculum, commitment to diversity & accessibility, and affordable afternoon extended hours for working parents. The colorful recently-built campus is secure and pleasant. Plenty of parking. Kids learn pre-reading and pre-math skills without pressure, while learning lifetime skills like how to learn and how to get along in community. St. James is growing and thriving under new leadership.

This is a true Montessori school with very knowledgable teachers and staff. My son has blossomed in the 2 years he's been at St. James. He's taking pride in his work, helps out around the house, and genuinely feels proud of his accomplishments. I do wish more parents were able to get involved in the school. The price for enrollment is very very reasonable (compared to other schools in Austin) and you'd hope more parents could get involved. I do believe the school caters to lower income families, so it's possible these parents are just spread too thin. The school has part time and full time positions for children and will be opening a younger child (18 months +) program soon. I'm excited to see the developments in that area as well. I've alway felt my son is safe and secure in a the loving environment at St. James.

What a hidden gem! We had tried several preschools before finding St. James. Excellent staff, beautiful campus, great education and very reasonable tuition. My daughter has thrived there, and is excited and challenged for each new lesson. None of the issues I had with other schools here, the kids are the first priority, and it shows. Amazing parents, too.
