My son attended preschool here and absolutely LOVED every second of it. He was very scared and apprehensive about going to school and that all changed when he was apart of the turtle class. The teachers seemed to be involved with every child equally and paid attention to their individual uniqueness. There are teachers that are still there from when my husband attended this school in 1993. They have programs that are so cute! They also have the children be active with the outside and indoor playground. Wish I would have had stayed here for kindergarten but my daughter who is one will definitely be attending here. Worth the thirty minute drive for me to take him here!
not really a learning school beyond the alphabet and crafts. had three kids through this school. parent involvement is good at kindergarten level but seems to be discouraged in the younger classes. I witnessed decline in quality from when my oldest went through compared to the experience my younger children had here. If it's close to your house and you're okay with older teaching methods this school offers very low prices. my youngest will not attend this school even though we still live in the area due to the less than welcoming atmosphere that has developed. there are now two schools operating at this church and the best facilities are no longer available to pre-school parents.
This is a great school. My son attended Fielder Road for 3 years. I wish they offered a summer program. The teachers are caring and really enjoy working with the children. My son learned alot and was always excited about going to school.
I am extremely pleased with the care and education my children have received at Fielder. The staff and teachers are there because they love working with children and it shows. It's hard to describe, but you can tell the difference between someone who works with kids because it's just a job and someone who is happy to be there teaching every day. In four years I have not doubted once that my children were safe, well-cared-for, and valued. When you have that kind of environment, the education just falls into place. It's not just child care - even in the youngest class for 20-month-olds there is a lot of learning going on! I was curious in the beginning about how Baptist the education would be. My preference is to keep church and education separate. They do, of course, integrate Bible verses, Bible stories, chapel, and religious holidays into the school lessons, but it's not overbearing. I highly recommend Fielder Road ECC.
Love this school! My son is now four and this is his third year at Fielder and my daughter who is two started this year. The school is full of love and I get a lot of peace knowing my children are receiving a Christ centered education. Most of the teachers have years of experience in teaching and at least a Bachelor's degree. They take time away from working full time to teach at Fielder so their children can attend and then many stay for years. Great teachers, great school. The school has been around since the 1960's and they know what they are doing after years of experience. I like that the children rotate rooms they have a homeroom, music class, PE, and play outdoors. This is a real education not a day care or just mothers day out. You wont be disappointed great education for a reasonable price.
There are not enough stars here. Both of my children have attended and loved their time there. My son starts his Kindergarten year this fall and I am sad that I have no more children to send. I must say that Kindergarten is so worth staying for. My daughter attended and did very well. We switched to one of the top public schools for first and she was bored. She was tested and found to be highly gifted. Kudos to Fielder for keeping the kids challenged so that kids like her never felt bored. I so wish they went past Kindergarten.
Both of my children have attended this preschool. The teachers and helpers are all nice, and work very well with the kids. Plus, the price is excellent! Even those on a small budget can make this school fit. The academics are fairly small, but it is a preschool. The kids do have things they focus on weekly and there are lots of art activities. My 2 yr old can count to 13 and is started to recognise the numbers, and I know that it is, in part, due to his teachers working with him. We love fielder road!!
