I worked at Growing Kids and was very surprised at how different things are "behind-the-scenes" compared to the front that they portray to the paretns. However, I do feel that if parents did their research, it would not be hard to see that this place has a VERY high employee turnover, the staff are very young and many are untrained in how to engage, discipline, and care for children. The room in which I worked, an employee would scream at the children on a daily basis. This was before I had children. I know have two children and I cried myself to sleep regularly because I was terrified that all daycares are like Growing Kids. I would never send my children there after having worked there. And I would NEVER EVER recommend this as a place for an infant or toddler. My girls are at a wonderful daycare now. Good childcare centers exist, but Growing Kids is NOT one of them. Please, I've been "behind-the-doors" - do not send your children there.
I disagree with most of the reviews on here. Our daughter went to Growing Kids for 9 months and we had nothing but great experiences with the staff and the facility! It was her first time ever going to daycare in 4 years and we wanted to get her prepared for kindergarten the next fall. Kayla and the staff were wonderful! They treated all of us fairly and were very good at communicating via email, phone or in person if anything was ever wrong. We sure miss the atmosphere there and tend to compare all daycare centers to Growing Kids. Nothing even comes close!!
I have worked at Growing Kids for 10 months now and continue to enjoy my job. The facility is wonderful and the families attending Growing Kids have truly become my extended family!
I think most people write a review when something bad has happened. I have had positive experiences at this daycare. My children were older when they started here, after a home daycare. My children flourished and became more social. The pre-school teachers helped me decide that my child was ready for Kindergarten (something I agonized over due to a summer birthday). I think people need to remember that this is a business (as are all daycares) that people are making a living from. The turnover of the teachers is frequent, but they are young girls with other aspirations.
