I have three kids who all attended (2 currently attend) EJs and I've been very pleased. They accommodate my part time schedule well, and are flexible enough when a few times a year I need my kids to come in on an unscheduled day. The teachers are energetic and excited to be with the kids, and the year end portfolios they do are amazing. This center takes a holistic approach to the child (and family) and cares not only about their behavior, but their academic progress (for the oldest kids), and their emotional well being. I was sorry to see that there's another parent who had a negative experience. With probably close to 100 families who attend this center, and decades of happy parents I know who've sent their kids there, it's definitely the minority. Considering someone posted the same review on several online forums all within the same time period, I can only think they were the family who was asked to leave last year because of ongoing problems and I hope they've found a new place that works better for them.
Understaffed, inconsistent behavioral expectations for kids, too may transitions, favoritism shown to children of staff members. . . .
EJ's is great. The teachers care, the facility is clean and kid appropriate, and they engage the kids in a lot of cool activities. The one negative I have is that they tend to nickel and dime so don't budget on the base tuition fee alone- we have paid appx $115 extra over 6 months on various extras.
My Son has been at EJ's for 3 years now, and I feel it is one of the best, if not the best day care in this entire area. Very happy with the teachers, and environment.
