This school is horrible, especially for the children in the Pre-school program where the office is. The teacher turnover is high and the admin simply dismisses things and blames the teachers by replacing them over and over. I had my child there last year and they asked me to pack a blanket and sheet, only to find out that during nap time they were sleeping on a FLOOR with dirty commercial carpet, that they played/walked on all day, not cots. They were not fed adequately as my child came home hungry on a regular basis. They have pizza on Fridays and ask the parents to participate with $2 or else u pack a lunch. My child made me aware that they were given 1 piece of pizza, which meant my $2 were prob feeding the teachers also. They need a lot of work in their Preschool and Pre-K, they do not evaluate incoming students. Undisciplined and prob children are mixed in with well behaved/young children and are not corrected for their bad behavior. If there was an incident involving another child they would sometimes send a note, that was how they adressed anything. The owners are not very friendly w the parents, only on social occasions like open house when they HAVE to put on a happy face.

I think the 1st review that gives this school 5 stars is/was a staff member. I had enrolled my child there based on reviews and the fact that we were told that children are very advanced when they leave this school. My child attended a private school previously and based on reviews and price, we tried this school. I guess you get what you pay for. They seem to have a high teacher turnover and they had younger children with older children. My child came home on several occasions with bruises and complaints that bigger kids were hitting him and playing too rough. I checked in and they had my 3 year old in a class with 4-4 1/2 year olds. I was not satisfied, I do not feel my child learned anything that he didn't already know. They do not address or try and correct inappropriate behavior and that should go without question. My child picked up some bad habits and lost some good manners that he had learned at his previous school.I do agree that "Miss Linda" is a short when answering questions, someone else probably needs to address parent questions/concerns. This could be a better school if they emphasize good behavior, sharing, etc., rather than letting everyone run around loose.

Maple provides students with a rigorous curriculum for young students. The facility has been recently remodeled in August and every classroom has beautiful flooring, freshly painted walls, and open space. The teachers are caring and supportive. My daughter has attended maple for 3 years, and my family has been associated with the school for over 45 years.

I went to Maple Ave recently to do a tour and was not very impressed at all with the facility. The lessons might be rigorous but I would need to sit in a class to confirm that, but the facility is not kept very clean at all. It smelled and it seemed like the walls and other parts of the rooms had not been cleaned in some time.

No... thank goodness. Not everything in life is a lesson. Relaxation is an art that should be practiced more. Sometimes its ok to just "play".

Each toy DOES teach something, but it is up to the adult to make it interesting by being encouraging and specific.
