This school cannot handle 2 year olds. Don't send your child here. If your child becomes fussy, they will call you and have you pick up your child immediately. They don't know how to handle your child.
When we first enrolled our child in this school, it seemed like a God sent. At this time, there was only one location and this school was ran very well and very professional. We used to get weekly menus, daily reports and the teachers were really concerned about each child's educational needs. The owner of this school Dr. Gibson can be a thorn in everyones backside but as long as you didn't have to deal with her directly you could get by without incident. Now, things have changed tremendously. I'm not sure if they are going through a long term rough patch or if they simply bit off more than they can chew with opening another location but in the months before the new location was opening everything at this location just went down hill. All emphasis is made on the new location and this location is struggling to stand. There has been various teachers come and gone, rules made and broken and made again, protocol changes at very last minute and all of this with little to no explaination. The director Miss Tara is very personable but is pulled in many directions therefore leaving some minor but important things over looked. I do not recommend this location but I can't speak for the other
Both my son and daughter attend this school since they were two years old. My son will begin kindergarten and my daughter still attends. There is a mandatory uniform. The teachers, especially Ms. Jam and Ms. Ana, are wonderful, caring, nurturing and creative teachers. My son can read sight words, do addition and subtraction, among other things. My daughter is going to be 3 yrs old and writes her name, the letter of the alphabet, knows shapes, colors, etc. They both get homework every other day. The school takes them on a few trips through out the year, have a pet farm visit the school, also have chicken hatching at the school, dinosaur fossil person come in and talk to the students and show the kids dinosaur skeletons. There are two school sites: the Theriot location and Throgs Neck location. My kids have attended both places. I am completely satisfied and praise the school all the time. As a public middle school teacher I recommend this school to all.
I'm very pleased with the school and my grandson attends and he is making great process in the school
