All three of my children have or are registered to go through the programs at A Great Start Preschool. My oldest attended KinderStart and had all the tools for success when he transitioned to public school. Today he reads above 2nd grade level in 1st grade and his math scores are amazing. The foundation was laid at A Great Start, fantastic school!
This is my 3rd year at AGS and we love everything about it! Christina, the director is amazing! She takes the time to talk with you and she is very informative. I have 2 boys there now. One is in Ms Julie's Smart Start and one is in Ms Beths and Ms Sharon's kindergarten class. We had Ms Sharon for Kinderstart the previous year and Ms. Jackie the year before that. I love all of the teachers and so do my boys. They've learned a great deal and have grown close to their teachers and the friends that they've made. I had gone on several preschool tours before deciding on AGS and I'm glad that I had. The environment is positive and safe. I strongly recommend AGS!
Before enrolling my son at this school, I explained his speech delay and focus issues to the Director, Christina. We had a VERY long conversation. My son attended classes there for an entire month. I never received ANY feedback on his progress or behavior, even though I did ask daily. After 4 weeks, I was told by his teacher that she grabbed his face to get his attention and she wasn't even sure "If he understood what she was saying to him." I would have thought within four weeks an issue such as this would have been addressed to me. If you want to send your child to a school, where they sit around putting beads on a necklace each day and receive no quality feedback, then this is the school for you.
Staff is very nice, and the preschol is very clean. My 4 year old daughter loves going to school here.
