It's hard to read anything except the good things written about this "gem" of a school! This is our fifth year attending Chestnut Hill amongst my 3 children. 2 out of the 3 have graduated and done beautifully in grade school thus far. The teachers here are very educated and have a lot of experience with preschool age children, which allows them to know what to expect from them. Also, they follow the kingergarten curriculum for the Toms River Schools which makes the transition from preschool to K super easy for them!! They incorporate just the right amount of play time and socializing...which is very important for this young age group!! I say enough about this school!!! Send your kids there without hesitation!!!

I love this school. The staff is so caring and warm. My son had a wonderful experience this past year. He learned something new every day he was in school. His teachers took a vested interested in him as an individual and realized each child learns differently. I am so glad I chose this school, they more then prepared my son for Kindergarten.

The staff is definitely HORRIBLE and disrespectful. Belittled my child. Do your research before saying Yes to this school.

This school is HORRIBLE! Instead of the focus on education there is a strong focus on social skills. The students spend the first half of the year celebrating holidays with monthly parties. They do not even begin to learn letters or numbers until January. Once they do begin this unit only one class is spent on the letter or number. Children do not even begin writing their names until April. There is also little to no help with writing skills as well. By May children are no longer "learning" and spend the last few weeks working on "social events" once again. This school DOES NOT prepare your child for kindergarten. I am an education major and preK teacher else where and I REGRET sending my child to this school. Not to mention the staff is extremely rude! HORRIBLE!! Do not be fooled by the packet given when looking at the school they do not enforce it!
