All three of my kids attended JDN and loved it. The center provides a loving and nurturing environment, small classes ( the smallest in town), and excellent academic program. After his first day at school, my 3-year old came home and said,' Mom, everybody at school loves me!'
My daughter has done very well at JDN. She looks forward to going to school and she is very well prepared for Kindergarten. The staff is kind and warm. It is a great environment.
JDN is the best preschool in the area. My older son attended the school from age 3 through kindergarten and my younger son is attending now. I can't say enough about the teachers, the director (Sue Weaver) and the programs offered here. Students are always engaged in an educational manner--whether through story time or watching the metamorphosis of a caterpillar. Teachers are nurturing and qualified. My family is not Jewish, but I loved that my children could learn about a different faith. (I learned a lot, too!) Structured daily activities, meals provided, and flexible hours. Parent/teacher meetings allow you to discuss concerns and your child's development. I enthusiastically recommend this school.
My son attended this school for one year before kindergarten and his preparation at JDN made all the difference to his success at school! The classrooms were excellent, well-designed, clean, bright, orderly and stimulating. His teacher (now sadly retired) was incredibly experienced; we couldn't have asked for anyone better. The rules she gave him are still with us today. He attended half day (9 - 1) including a nutritious lunch, prepared on the premises and there was breakfast available too. The playground is lovely and quiet with a sandpit, green space and large muscle equipment. Class sizes were small and cooperation was emphasized. If JDN is anything like it was when we were there, I highly recommend it.
