Becoming member of this cooperative has made an extraordinary difference in the quality of our lives. We moved to the area 2 1/2 years ago and didn't know anyone. The structure of Columbia Kids creates a a space to grow and learn with other families, which builds a deep sense of community . I highly recommend this program!

My daughter went to Columbia Kids for 2 years and loved every minute of it. The teacher is very warm, caring and gentle with kids and they love her. Lots of play time and hands-on activities and great parental involvement. Another thing that I enjoyed and that helped me as a parent is a parent-education part of this preschool. It is truly a unique community! If it takes a village to raise a child then this is the village you want to be in!

In the beginning, i absolutely loved this daycare/preschool. My child was in the care of ms.joyce and he loved it, which in turn made me very comfortable.he was switched because of his age and has been unhappy every since which causes me worry daily

I ask the teacher if she has a job for my son to do. He gets so excited to have a special job assigned to him (like putting out the toys, etc.), that he follows her away to do it which enables me to slip out. Once I'm out of sight, he does great!

This behavior can indicate any number of precursors at various ages. The number one thing each teacher must do is develop a relationship with the parent. The teacher will learn about the parenting practices, the child’s personality, temperament,... More »
