Pilgrim may be the best kept secret in the Glen Ridge, Montclair, Bloomfield area. This is the perfect nursery school; small class size, kind, dedicated teachers, excellent director, nice playground, clean, friendly, creative activities, academic in a fun way, and competitively priced. My daughter attended for two years and had a wonderful experience. She quickly got over separation anxiety (thanks to the teachers) within the first week of school and loved going everyday. Definitely check this one out if you're in search of a great preschool.

We love this school. Our daughter has been at Pilgrim for more than 2 years, and we have loved all of the teachers she has had. They seek to teach children academics, good citizenship, and other important information through play, arts and crafts, and other kid focused activities. It is all about teaching and helping all of the children, and the teachers never lose sight of their priorities.

I think common core is going to produce a bunch of dumb adults. Once the kids are grown and out in the real world they aren't going to know how to solve any problem without writing out the answer step by step

I think common core will definitely make moving families feel more confident in their school district choices, but I definitely worry about the learning curve as common core is implemented.
