Yes, Sweet Peas Village has great facilities, and is a very expensive school, but looks are deceiving. I enrolled my child at 6 weeks old and the teachers in the room were going against my requests for my child and doing what THEY wanted. My child was being given another child's pacifier even though I had provided one for him. They made the decision that he didn't like his blue one and started giving him another little girls pink one. When I expressed my concern I was given mixed stories and heard them disregarding and mocking my request for them not to continue with that behavior the second I left the room. When my child was 5 months old they admittedly (as well as recorded on my child's daily sheet) that they did not feed him his bottle between the hours of 9AM-2PM. When I confronted them again, the teacher raised her voice with me and walked away mid conversation. I complained to directors on multiple occasions and the teachers were let go with very minor warnings. I've been present at different times during the day and there is yelling from many teachers once parents have left. I suggest dropping by your child's room unexpectedly. They have ruined my view of daycares

As a parent and teacher I look for quality in facility, developmentally appropriate practices and a positive environment for my children. I have found all of this and more at Sweet Peas Village. My children love school and I love the sense of community that Sweet Peas provides. The staff creates positive learning experiences and guides the children to enjoy learning. This is truly a quality school with a team of educated teachers and administrators that hold to the high standards set by the owner.

Sweet Peas Village has a fabulous facility that leaves no detail unattained. The teachers are so educated and use developmentally appropriate practices everyday. I would not go anywhere else this school has it all. from the nurse, teachers, directors and volunteers. Everyone there just has the best interest of the children at hand. Thank you for being available to our family.

I agree with another comment posted on this forum it's perfect for the baby as the kids get older within the school less attention is paid. They have gotten too big to pay attention. For instance in my sons classroom there is a child that has biten 6 different students and 2 teachers and no discplinary action has been taken place at all. Child is still enrolled in the school. To add insult to injury there are times you pick up your child and no one even tells you (the parent) they were bit until you discover the bite mark yourself on your child. Owner and director Heather Mayo who is very well aware of this issue has done nothing to keep the children in the classroom safe. As the website says they create a safe environment?? Thats a joke! It's one of the priciest day cares in the state of RI. My experience in the beginning when I enrolled my baby (at 3 months) was fabulous never a complaint. Now it's just a big disappointment. Director needs to stop her constant personal travel and needs to really be at her school. Get back to basics.
