We were so blessed to find this school immediately upon moving to Tucson. The staff is amazing, the facilities are wonderful and my daughter went to Kindergarten very prepared. The summer programs are outstanding and you couldn't ask for more caring people to take care of you child. From the owners/managers to the aides, everyone is wonderfully trained and knowledgeable. The Christmas pageant and Fairy-tale Ball are just icing on the cake. I can't recommend this place enough!
All three of my boys have attended The Sandbox. My older boys are now 13 and 11 and had the most amazing experience there from age 2.5 to 5 and then participated in the summer program. So of course when it my now 4.5 year old was ready for preschool we returned to The Sandbox. It is by far the best preschool in Tucson. The facilities are clean, up to date, inviting and offer appropriate play space for kids of all ages. The teachers we have had the pleasure of getting to know are simply amazing. To them teaching is not just a job, it s a passion. I m impressed by the attention given to teachers professional development, which means always having new ideas and programs benefiting the children. The children learn how to play, have fun, respect each other and are extremely well prepared academically before going off to Kindergarten. In addition, they are taught art and music giving them an appreciation for more than just learning. They always have special projects and events that include families and sibling, making it a true community. I recommend the Sandbox to all my friends who are looking for childcare and I am so grateful for the amazing experiences my children had there.
I can't say enough about this top notch, well respected, NAEYC accredited preschool. I learned about The Sandbox many years ago, because the administrators were trainers at a conference for early childhood professionals. I now have children of my own and am so proud that they have attended The Sandbox. They have received an outstanding educational experience because the administration and staff are so well educated about how young children learn. The classrooms are bright, engaging and interesting, and the curriculum is very well rounded, including computers, art and music. My son was so well prepared for kindergarten that he mastered some of the State standards a year in advance. In addition to academic stimulation and preparation, Sandbox students develop a sense of empathy and community by giving back. For example, Sandbox students made and donated teddy bears to children in need. Most importantly, The Sandbox team values my children and loves them for their individuality. I have always known my kids were in good hands, and have never had to worry about them. At The Sandbox, my kids developed a love of learning and a love of school! We will miss the owners and teachers so much!
