The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.
My child attended Small Wonders from the time she was 6-weeks old, and I initially felt totally comfortable leaving her there; however, as she got older, I became more disenchanted with the center and eventually withdrew her. The people at the daycare are very friendly and seem to love the kids, but the director could never give me a definite answer on their curriculum (saying instead that it was a mesh between two different types). Several times when I went in to pick up my daughter, they were watching movies.... Disney/Pixar types, not educational. I personally feel that a child's time at school should not be spent in front of the TV. There was very little security with the front desk only manned 70% of the time and no other form of ensuring the wrong person doesn't take a child. While my child was there, someone's car was "broken into" and her purse was stolen (broken into is in quotes because she didn't lock her car). Again, the staff are very likeable and many are seasoned veterans, but many improvements could be made.
