My son has been at the Open Center for a year now. It is a very sweet preschool, with a positive environment and an emphasis on play. They have some nice programs (like the 'raising a reader' bags they send home each week with books for families to read together, then bring back and exchange) and their overall philosophy is fundamentally sound. The Open Center is also very diverse and offers a nice school community. Overall, I would definitely recommend this preschool to parents looking for childcare in the area. Also, FYI, the information listed here about it isn't entirely accurate - they start accepting kids at 2 and a half.

I think common core is going to produce a bunch of dumb adults. Once the kids are grown and out in the real world they aren't going to know how to solve any problem without writing out the answer step by step

I think common core will definitely make moving families feel more confident in their school district choices, but I definitely worry about the learning curve as common core is implemented.
