I attended this preschool as a child with the same teacher! This school values teachers who love children and teaching. It shows with the learning my daughter is accomplishing and the activites they participate in.

I make a list of items to discuss ahead of time. Then after the conference, I keep in touch. This also depends on how far into the year the conferences are.

First understand that teachers / schools make big deals over EVERYTHING. Second, no one knows your child better than you. Third, keep a frequent line of communication open with the teacher and conferences are just a recap... no surprises.
