I have known and worked with Heather at Granite Falls Child Care & School for over 6 years and I know her and her Childcare Center to be an upstanding valuable part of this community. She is knowledgeable, competent, generous and creative and she inspires the children in her care to get along, work hard, and express themselves in positive ways. The building is old but once you go inside you will see the amazing things she has done to make a positive kid friendly environment. Creative carpentry and hand painted murals set a stage for imaginative play and a mix of child directed play and teacher guided activities keeps kids busy and happy. In addition there is a large outdoor play area with extensive play yard equipment and an annual garden that the kids enjoy immensely. The teachers at Granite Falls Child Care are experience, competent and enjoy working with children. The preschool curriculum prepares young learners for transition into kindergarten. Afternoon activities include homework help for school age children and additional art activities for preschoolers. Granite Falls Child Care & School is a place I am proud to be associated with.
