MY LITTLE BOY STARTED ATTENDING CHIME TIME WHEN HE WAS ALMOST 3 YRS OLD. (AFTER BEING IN TWO HOME DAYCARE SETTINGS, WHICH AT LEAST ONE WAS NOT NEARLY AS WARM AND NURTURING). WELL, LET ME TELL YOU....WHAT A WONDERFUL AND CARING STAFF THEY HAVE THERE AT CHIME TIME IN MELROSE, MA. THE SCHOOL IS DIVIDED UP INTO AGE APPROPRIATE CLASSROOMS AND EACH CLASS USUALLY HAS 2 TEACHERS, SOMETIMES EVEN 3. THEY ARE ALL WONDERFUL TEACHERS, EVEN THE DIRECTOR PAM IS A WONDERFUL AND FUNNY AND WARM PERSON. MY SON WENT THERE FROM ALMOST 3 TILL HE GRADUATED A FEW DAYS AGO..AT THE RIPE OLD AGE OF 5. (HE WILL BE ATTENDING KINDERGARTEN IN THE FALL) I CANNOT THANK THEIR STAFF ENOUGH FOR BEING SO KIND AND PATIENT AND NURTURING!! IF YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE A PRE-SCHOOL/DAYCARE FOR YOUR CHILD....I HIGHLY RECOMMEND "CHIME TIME" IN MELROSE!!!

I make a list of items to discuss ahead of time. Then after the conference, I keep in touch. This also depends on how far into the year the conferences are.

First understand that teachers / schools make big deals over EVERYTHING. Second, no one knows your child better than you. Third, keep a frequent line of communication open with the teacher and conferences are just a recap... no surprises.
