My son went to Melrose Daycare for 3 years and it was a wonderful experience for both him and I. The teachers were great and the director was very nice and easily approachable with any concern you have. They do lots of activities with the kids and the families to get them involved. My son still talks about it and he is now in first grade! I would recommend this preschool to anyone looking for a nurturing environment for their child.

I encountered a couple of excellent teachers but more than a few who shouldn't be working with children. The director is non-responsive. The administrative staff I found to be extremely rude.

I make a list of items to discuss ahead of time. Then after the conference, I keep in touch. This also depends on how far into the year the conferences are.

First understand that teachers / schools make big deals over EVERYTHING. Second, no one knows your child better than you. Third, keep a frequent line of communication open with the teacher and conferences are just a recap... no surprises.
