NBLC has been wonderful for my 2 (almost 3) year old. Before going he was behind in his speech and a few other things. I am amazed at how much he has learned. They not only teach them the normal things like ABC and 123 but he has also now says yes please, and no thank you ALL the time. They are teaching them manners and respect for others. The teachers have created a wonderful environment and you can see that by the way the children treat each other. The center is always very clean and well organized. This being my second child I know first hand how hard it is to find a good daycare/preschool. This is by far the best one I have tried and I tried alot with my first son. I am currently expecting my 3rd and he too will go here when he turns 2.

NBLC is a warm and caring preschool. My son has attended there for almost three years, and I could not be happier. The facility is clean and organized. The facilities, furniture, playground, and toys are well cared for. Bulletins are updated regularly for seasonal activities and walls are adorned with children's artwork. The children have structured learning and play activities to prepare them for grade school, and their teachers have high expectations for them. The teachers model kind and appropriate behaviors to create a safe, orderly, and fun environment. I feel that my son is well prepared to begin Kindergarten next year thanks to the staff of NBLC.

New Beginnings is a very nurturing environment. Although our daughter has been there less than a year, her socialization and language skills have risen substantially. She likes her teachers and new friends, and looks forward to going every day. I highly recommend this school. J. Sturr

I make a list of items to discuss ahead of time. Then after the conference, I keep in touch. This also depends on how far into the year the conferences are.

First understand that teachers / schools make big deals over EVERYTHING. Second, no one knows your child better than you. Third, keep a frequent line of communication open with the teacher and conferences are just a recap... no surprises.
