We really couldn't have been happier with this choice for our 3yo's first school experience. The school seems great, but what really made it special was his teacher, Ms. Sherri. It will be hard to measure up to this lovely teacher. She is gentle and kind. She was so genuine. One can really sense that about her. It renews one faith that people like this still exist. It also is a "fun" school with lots of parties....maybe too many sweets for our liking. Ms. Sue, Ms. Sherri's asst was also of great help as well. The two seem to have a good rhythm together. So, why isn't he returning (hence the 4/5 stars)? I wasn't happy at all with how they set up the 4yo program. It is practically in the lobby. It is not a classroom with doors. For the amount of tuition, I expect a real classroom vs an open, distracting area right by the lobby. On 3 or so separate occasions my mother and/or I witnessed a couple different ladies (teachers??) in said open area serving meals who spoke kind of harshly/mean tone to the kids. That would never fly with me. Also, I would have preferred there be some bathroom privacy vs 3 toilets side by side that 2 classes had to share with no partitions.

We just finished our first year and are leaving for a few reasons. The main complaint is that the school goes crazy with sugary treats as part of their "curriculum." There was one morning that the 3 year olds were given cake, cookies, and ice cream in one sitting. It was a constant problem throughout the year and the director has no interest in correcting it. I wish I had known this before we enrolled, which is why I'm posting. On a positive note, I did like the two teachers, but the unhealthy environment and refusal of the management to address it is significant enough for us to leave.

My son has been at Broad Bay going on a year now and he absolutely loves it. He cheers in the morning when I tell him we are going to school. The entire staff and teachers are very nice. My son keeps suprising me on everything he is learning.

This is our son's second year at Broad Bay Manor, and it has been a wonderful experience. The pre-K program has a montessori base, and the children learn through instruction and play. Teachers are warm and caring.
