My second child is currently a student at the Co-op. Both kids have loved the school and the teachers. The school is an amazing opportunity to be involved in your child's education and learning. The Co-op is one of only a few preschools in the area that are NAEYC accredited which ensures a higher standard in a program. I love that the school takes the extra steps necessary to keep this accreditation. After two years at the Co-op, my first child transitioned extremely well to kindergarten both academically and socially. If you are seeking an opportunity to be a part of your child's learning environment as well as make a difference in a school that has been a long valued member of the Somers community, check this preschool out.

All 3 of my children loved the Somers Cooperative preschool. It was wonderful to help out inthe classroom and really get to see what my children were doing in school. This school prepared my children for kindergarten, both socially and academically. The teachers at the school are experienced and know how to help each individual child achieve.

My daughter has been at the Co-Op for the past two years. There are about 80 children total through both AM and PM sessions. The program is run by two very experienced and excellent teachers. The parents volunteer and participate in decision making. This is an outstanding school that has prepared by daughter very well for kindergarten next year. The kids engage in wonderful, creative activities. I highly recommend this school for 3 and 4 year old children.

I think common core is going to produce a bunch of dumb adults. Once the kids are grown and out in the real world they aren't going to know how to solve any problem without writing out the answer step by step

I think common core will definitely make moving families feel more confident in their school district choices, but I definitely worry about the learning curve as common core is implemented.
