I really like this school and my daughter enjoyed her teacher this past year. The only problem I had is that it seemed to me that the little kids were slapping at each other alot on the playground. The teachers would stay back and allow the kids to "work it out" on their own. I'm sorry, but making the kids "work it out" on their own by hitting each other does not seem to be the right thing to do. There is a big difference between teaching "self help skills" and just watching the kids slapping at each other on the playground. My daughter would tell me that another girl slapped her and she was told, "You need to learn how to stand up for yourself. You shouldn't have let that girl slap you." What's that supposed to mean? I guess that's all a part of growing up these days and that's the kind of thing that happens on playgrounds with a bunch of kids running around. Overall, my daughter learned alot and I think that she's going to do pretty good in school because she learned a whole bunch at this nice little school.
This school is great. My children love coming into a welcoming environment that encourages learning.
